Sex Sense & C&SH
Sex Sense? C&SH? What's the difference?
Sex Sense is a service specifically for young people. C&SH (which stands for Contraceptive and Sexual Health) services are open to anyone - but all the services we list on this site are young person friendly.
In more detail
C&SH clinics are run by a doctor or nurse - and can usually advise on and prescribe a full range of contraception and sexual health services.
Sex Sense drop-in sessions are run by members of the Sex Sense team. We are not nurses or doctors - so we can't prescribe the pill and other long-term contraception. But we can: provide free condoms, pregnancy testing and chlamydia testing. And we can offer you advice on any sex and relationship issues. We can also help you arrange any other sexual health services where you might need to see a doctor or nurse.
Sex Sense also run education and outreach work in schools, colleges and community venues around Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire. You might have seen us visit your school or college...
